Mission Statement
Florida EcoBags LLC creates beautiful, artistic, durable utilitarian bags that are handcrafted and sold in Florida. Our environmentally friendly products are made from Florida-sourced recycled materials. From the revenues created by our sales, we support ongoing research of the Red Tide that has plagued our beaches.
Company History
Florida EcoBags LLC was created in 2021 as a way to create a sustainable product. Our products are upcycled from used sails and marine canvas, and our materials are sourced locally. We give 1% of our profits to ocean conservation that is aimed at protecting our water sources in Florida.
We are a woman-owned business. Andrea has a degree in Marine Science and taught Biology and Environmental Science for 13 years. Mary has a music degree. She sews and creates the art for our bags. Mary continues teaching voice lessons virtually. Together they combine the artistic & creative with the science of environmentalism, while helping to maintain and clean up the Florida beaches and waters they both have come to love.
